Because Fire Hose Cabinets are made up of components which can be worn out (watertight gaskets, flexible pipes etc.), it is  necessary to perform  five-yearly maintenance in addition to the annual inspections in order to preserve the equipment in good working condition.

Annual Fire Hydrant Maintenance

Fire Hydrants are exterior firefigthing means which enable different emergency services equipment to have a water supply. The annual inspection aims to ensure proper functioning of the Fire Hydrant. 

 
For this service AAI performs the following operations :
  • Inspection of condition of Fire Hydrant
  • Inspection of water flow at each Fire Hydrant
  • Inspection of anti-freezing system  and of draining
  • Inspection of accessibility of each Fire Hydrant
  • Recording of all comments on an AAI inspection report.

Fire protection systems are often composed of pumps, motors and water supplies.  Their being in good condition is essential to ensure that water can reach the end of fire hose nozzles  held by firefighters or site personnel.
